Comicoz

Hullo! I'm Nat Karmichael, and I have a confession -- I cannot draw a thing! Instead, I like to publish the works of others: highlighting the wonderful stories of (mostly) Australian comic-book creatives in the comics and comic-related books I have released under my Comicoz imprint. I am a member of the Australian Cartoonists Association, a national cartooning collective that was founded in 1924. (No, I have not been a member that long!) I edited their journal Inkspot for four years (from Issues #72 to #85), and served as a committee member for seven years. Since 2015, I have been Lead Judge in the Ledger of Honour Awards (a sub-section of the Comics Arts Awards of Australia). Doesn't this all sound big-headed? You see, I am passionate about the local Australian comic medium, its past history, and its potential for the future. I try to support our local Australian artists and cartoonists, and just love sharing their comic stories with the world.
